How many times have you wished you could sit down to have a cozy chat with your favourite writers? Conversations that were insightful and in-depth and bypassed all the conventional small talk?
The word “converse” means “be familiar with” in late Middle English which in turn comes from the Latin “conversari” meaning “keep company with”.
The Storyteller, a monthly or bi-monthly newsletter, is my little contribution to this larger conversation about mindfulness and the need for a more intimate connection with the world and people around us. I will share with you conversations with writers and creators where we talk about their work, their thoughts on craft, their processes, their stories and what it means to continue the tradition of storytelling, to shake a fist in the face of the inherent desolation and emptiness that surrounds us, in order to decipher the point of our existence.

” We [writers] decry too easily what we do as kind of trivial—the creation of stories as being a trivial thing. But the magic of escapist fiction…is that it can actually offer you a genuine escape, it can furnish you with armor, with knowledge, with weapons, with tools you can take back into your life to help make it better… It’s a real escape—and when you come back, you come back better-armed than when you left.”

Who am I to argue with Neil Gaiman?

I hope you’ll subscribe and follow me and these creators on this adventure!
